Layout Adjustments
Table of Contents
BOOX works with 17 ebook formats, and we split them into two categories: the fixed layout and the reflowable layout. We provide different settings for them in the Format Tab, so you can adjust their layouts and read them easily no matter how they look.
For Fixed Layouts

Zoom
Zoom In / Zoom Out: Changes the magnification by preset levels.
Marquee Zoom: You can drag a rectangle around a portion of the page that you want to fill the viewing area. Pinch-to-zoom: Enables / disables the pinch-to-zoom gesture.
When the page exceeds the display area after zooming, tapping the page-turn area will go to the previous/next part of the current page. You need to use the page-turn buttons in the Floating Toolbar, or tap the Reset button in the Floating Toolbar or in the Crop menu first to use the page-turn area normally.
When the page exceeds the display area after zooming, you can also tap the Pan button in the Floating Toolbar to enable/disable this function to pan around the nearby area.
Crop / Margin
Auto Crop (Fit Page): Automatically crops the view to fit the full page. You can also adjust the Margin setting to fine-tune the cropping effect.
Auto Crop (Fit Width): Automatically crops the view to fit the width of the screen. You can also adjust the Margin setting to fine-tune the cropping effect.
Manual Crop: You can drag a rectangle around a portion of the page to manually crop the margin.
Reset: Reset all zooming and cropping settings and return to the original view.
Note: Marquee Zoom and Manual Crop have similar functions. Tapping the page-turn area in Marquee Zoom status will go to the previous/next part of the current page, while tapping the page-turn area in Manual Crop status will go to the previous/next page, so use Manual Crop only to crop the margin of the pages.
