If your device is (below) firmware V3.0, Android 10 OS, there is no option to reset the password on the lock screen.
To avoid the situation where the password cannot be reset but forgotten, please upgrade your device to firmware V3.1 and then reset your password via Settings→More Settings→Screen-lock Password Setting. When you reboot your device, you'll see the option of "Reset Password".
