In this article, you will learn how to better navigate within your device by using gestures.
Basic Gestures
Tap: To select an item or choose an option.

Swipe Left: To go to the next page.

Swipe Right: To go to the previous page.

Long Press: To open a pop-up menu or check the properties of files.

Navigation Preferences
Since Firmware V3.3, there are 2 main navigation preferences available on the BOOX devices. You can go to Settings > Gestures to customize your preferences.
Bottom Gestures
With this navigation method, you can perform customizable quick actions by swiping up in different locations from the bottom border. The bottom gestures shown below are the default settings.
Left: E-Ink Center
Center: Back home

Right: Back

Navigation Bar
With this method, you can use the navigation bar to navigate your device. The arrangement of the navigation bar buttons shown below are the default settings. You can also choose a preferred arrangement of the navigation bar buttons.
Note: In some apps where the Navigation Bar is automatically hidden, you will need to swipe up from the bottom to call out the Navigation Bar first.

Side Gestures
Up-and-down Swipe Gestures
This part of gestures is turned off by default. You can enable and customize them to perform quick adjustments by swiping up or down on either side of the border. The adjustments include volume, frontlight, and contrast settings.
Left-and-right Swipe Gestures
This part of gestures is turned off by default. You can enable and customize them to perform going back or other actions by swiping inwards on either side of the border.
