Poke 2 Color

I just received my Poke 2 Color. The firmware version is 2020-10-13_15-52_mc_fa72065. This seems like an older version but when I try to update it says it is the latest. How can I get the lastest?

  I believe that is the latest official release.  Remember the second batch of these was just released.  Its the same version I have.

  What has made me think there is a later version is because someone in the Boox fans group on Facebook posted screen shots of their Poke 2 Color that shows more system icons than mine. Mine just has Library, Storage, Apps and Settings. His also has the Store icon. His also shows a Firmware version of 2020-11-04_10-52_3.0_9aed398 and an update available with a version of 2020-12-02_10-15_3.0_b6ebfff. See below.

  Another Poke 2 Color user posted this image of his system which also has more system icons. He has not said what version he is running.

  Interesting.  Hopefully not a beta release.  He did mentioned having to get the release pushed.

   

  Note original owners posted theirs arrived with 2020-07-17_18-12_mc_6729f7e

  The changes are in version 3.0 firmware. At this point I don't see official version for the poke 2 color.  I don't think the regular poke 2 firmware is for the poke 2 color, but perhaps I'm wrong.  The fact that it doesn't update automatically seems like it is not yet officially available.

  I think it's official. I contacted Boox support. Will see what they say.

  I am now quite confused.  At least one other site says that the newer poke 2 color that have the USB-C connectors are being shipped with 3.0 firmware.  Not sure how you tell as there is nothing I see that uses such numbering (or 2.3.1 ...)

  I saw it on two sites but it now says so on Boox own site

  Note their pictures on the site look like a different version to me.

  As I said I am confused.
