Yep. I have the same issue, sadly haven't found a fix or decent workaround yet :(

    Hey Gabriel

There was a firmware update and that fixed it for me.

I'm now on Build number: 2021-08-10_11-12_3.1_959a7b6

    Hope it helps for you

    Hi Peter
Are you also on Nova Pro?

I can't find this update!! It's not shown on my "Settings" > "Firmware Update" > "Check for Update"

Where did you get it from?

    I'm on 2021-05-20_12-21_3.1_f1d2ad8

    Hi Peter,

how did you receive the update 2021-08-10_11-12_3.1_959a7b6 for the Nova Pro? The latest update that I received from the Onyx server was 2021-05-20_12-21_3.1_f1d2ad8. When I try to initiate an update I am receiving the statement "This is already the latest version.".

I could overcome the problem with the launcher by flashing the package again, hoewever when I reset the device the same issue appears again. So I have no final solution for the problem at this time.

    Thank you

    Hey T.T.

For now, I would be happy to temporarily solve the issue.

How did you get the launcher package?

I had to look it up :)

I contacted support and they send me a download link.

I found the updater and it's uploading to my googledrive.

I'll post the link in a few minutes

    Peter

When you do, if you can also provide a md5sum for the file it would be great.. just to avoid any surprises if the download gets corrupted ;-)

    Took a while to upload, it's 851 MB :)

    The updater: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XBw3OPW_ALZvzp7PO7FAm-08bT1C_I0k/view?usp=sharing

    md5 check: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qcYQO94HcwdrzHvb9R1qcDSkijxqq95j/view?usp=sharing

Never used md5 before, so I hope I did it right :)

    Have fun

    Hey Gabriel,

I have downloaded the update files through the google drive folder that Onyx Boox published last year and it carried out one update later over the air, I flashed the Nova Pro with the same update package again that Onyx provided to upgrade from Android 6 to Android 9, I found the link to the onyx google drive in one of the ereader blogs.

I was looking around on my nas and found a newer update.upx file. Now I'm not sure if the one in the folder I posted is the right one.

This is the newer update file in case it was just the update to android 9 before: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kHk-apDnb0tx_k-tyH8CDk63uT-1w-0W/view?usp=sharing

    The first one is 2020-11-20_14-52_3.0_b320658

looks like the last one is the correct one:
    2021-08-10_11-12_3.1_959a7b6

Even better cause it's .upx and not .oyx

Theoretically .upx is easier to update, just copy the file NovaPro root folder and run the  "Settings" > "Firmware Update" > "Check for Update" and it finds it

    Doing it right now!

    Hey Gabriel,

how did you manage to get the Nova Pro to recognise the 2021-08-10_11-12_3.1_959a7b6 upx-file? I have copied it into root directory, but it does not recognise it, when I am hitting "Check for updates".

    Hi T.T.
Rename the file to "update.upx" (all lowercase) and check for updates again
