Note AI (handwriting to text)
-
Dear customer, we apologize for the inconvenience. We have noticed this issue and we have optimized the AI recognition feature of the Notes app. In firmware v3.3.1, you could directly edit the converted text in either Original or Reflow mode.
The firmware v3.3.1 is now available for Note Air 2 and you could update the firmware via Settings > Firmware Update on your device.
Many thanks for your time and understanding.

To be honest, I think it does work as you guys intend atm, I am on firmware version V.3.3.1, It does convert the text mostly correctly and any errors are quick and easy to fix.
What I ment were that if I write a note and I want the text digitalized, I need to either copy or insert the text and erase the original handwriting. I think it would be more intuitive if you could apply the changes when doing an "original conversion" so that you can keep taking notes but whatever you had were converted.
Because, if I do an original conversion and keep writing digitally and then try to go back to the main view of the notetaking app, all the changes are lost and the original handwriting are reapplied.
So it seems that you have to "share" and "export" whatever you're writing in AI mode in order to "save".
Ehum, the more I try to explain, the more I feel like I overcomplicate the issue...
I'll try with some pictures.

I also would appreciate to have the ai results (set to automatic in the background) automatically to be saved im the notes. E.g. as an annotation im the PDF. That would ease up the search process, when opening the notes that are synced with ms onenote

I am experiencing the same frustration. This is the main reason I bought the tablet and thought it'd be easier to save.

Similar situation with my new Mini Tab C..
I convert my hand written notes to text and place them on my page, but the original hand written note is still there, overlapping the converted text.
Is there a method to have the hand writing on the page removed after I make the conversation, and still be able to write more on that same page? Apologies, this is completely new to me.0 -
Commenting here to support this feature request. Any progress?

Same Here - I would like to have it automated (text recognition, file with editable text creation).

Also looking for this fix.

HI Cindy,
Since firmware 4.0, the Notes app supports converting handwriting notes to text with the lasso tool. In this case, you could try to follow the steps in the video at the link below. Then, please check if the problem can be fixed.

While that does convert the written text, it does not format it correctly to the page in the way that "Reflow" does.
I genuinely just need to be able to take written notes, convert them, and have them formatted to the page correctly, with the ability to go back and add if need be. All within the "Notes" app. I don't want to export my note- I want to remain in the same space.0
