App store question

So, I've seen screenshots on Reddit and such that shows that there's both play store and an "app store" on onyx devices? I bought an onyx Boox note air 2 not long ago and that app store does not exist. I'm just curious, is that to be expected or is there a setting or something for it? The device were a demo unit previously hence why I'm a bit unsure if there should be or should not be such an app store

  We are sorry that we removed the built-in apps store as we no longer maintain and update the apps' versions. In this case, we suggest downloading apps via the Google Play Store.

  Ok no worries, it does make sense and is preferred in my opinion unless it added something beneficial.

  I were just a bit confused since I saw that there were such a store in some screenshots and such while there were no info about it as far as I know.
