Software Update Adding Delays to Opening New Notebooks

Please allow for the selection of a default notebook that is assumed and allow for different templates to be selected only if needed. Also, the reminder that hand gestures have been turned off is another item that delays the time from opening to writing. Please remove this small but annoying items of friction!
