We are sorry that the BOOX device does not support setting an alphanumeric password. Since the BOOX device does not support resetting passwords, we are afraid that you may need to do a factory reset the unlock the device. But that can't be the solution.
I have the same problem and therefore can't add any more fingerprints or change anything on the system.
This needs to be fixed with firmware.
And to be honest, I don't have understanding when such essential things don't work.0 -

We apologize for the inconvenience. In this case, please try to reset the device to the factory default settings first. Please note that resetting the device will delete all data and files on your device. Please back up all important notes and documents before restoring the factory default.You could reset the device via "Settings" > "More Settings"> "Reset System" > "Factory Reset".
Once you reset the device, please update the firmware to the latest version first. You could update the firmware via "Settings" > "More Settings" > "System Update" on your device. Then, please check if the problem persists.
