Play protect certification new note air 4c
Today I received my new Boox Note Air 4c and have been trying to set it up. Key feature for me would be to install Intune company portal to be able to lync my office apps, e.g. OneNote, Outlook, OneDrive, etc. I am not able to get the company portal fully installed because of missing certifications. It turns out that the device is not "Play protect-certified" when I check in PlayStore. If I run diagnostics i get that something is wrong with the device without a solution. Without this certification the device is rather useless for me, looking for a solution urgently! If I am unable to use this device in my work environment I will have to return it unfortunately.
BTW both the device and Play Store are fully updated.
Update: I have checked the integrity of the device with the Play integrity API checker app and found that the device does not meet device integrity and strong integrity.

Before buying the new note air 4c , I'll wait for this issue to be solved... Really looking forward to it :-)

The BOOX device supports the Microsoft Intune Company Portal app. In this case, you can download this app's APK file via the link below:

After that, you could transfer the APK file to your BOOX device and open the file to install the app. Many thanks for your understanding.

The problem is not installing company poral.
The problem is that the Boox Note air4c fails Google Play integrity test currently.
It is rejected by Microsoft Intune enrolment.1 -

We cannot wait for so long, the security is critical! You don't have to push a whole firmware update and new feature, but you should apply Android security patches.
Don't be surprised if people give up on Boox devices because they can't use it safely with their company's system.
Historically I think you only issue about 2 firmware updates per year and this is not following the pace of security updates. It doesn't work with Microsoft Intune and their requirements.1 -

I have updated to the new beta version 2025-06-14, but the issue still persist. Play Protect is not certified. I tried resetting Google Play, Play services and play framework and then reboot device, but still no luck.

Yes same experience here, I was very happy to see the security update, but it didn't fix anything.
I feel like google still consider that security update (March 2025) as obsolete:

I am having this exact same issue. I recommended the Note Air4 C to my company because of how great the devices are, and the fact that it is on a much more recent version of Android. They were considering rolling out the device to all employees but this may present an issue. So there is your motivation BOOX Shop Service! If you and the team can get Play Protect Certification, and even better Android Enterprise setup / MDM, then my company will order many devices!

Same here, got it to use with the company office environment, but cant use it due to the failed basic check.
I mean what the heck, for a new device to take notes, to fail at a crucial step...

Been optimistically testing with the newest updates but neither of the last two v4.1 betas have fixed this sadly. Would it be possible to get a confirmation that this is still being worked on please?

I took a chance a just bought one hoping this issue will be fixed in the next few days otherwise I would send it back and ask for a refund.

Dear @BOOX, problem persists even with work profile.
I have to comply with business policy via Company Portal which doesn’t allow me to use it to access my resources.
It is really annoying
Please do something or I will have no choice but to send you it back and ask a refund.

Is it difficult or time-consuming to be able to make the Note Air 4c play protect certified? I am just curious as to why it isn't a priority for Boox, as it would allow Enterprise use, where clients typically purchase 10s or 100s of units. Personally I am in a position where I can make recommendations for devices to be adopted company-wide, and this is the only thing stopping me.

Same here. Both Google Basic Integrity Check and Device Integrity Check fail. This is the reason why MS Company Portal refuses installing the work profile. Latest FW is installed. Onyx, what is the status?

I'm not aware of any manufacturer who has solved this properly, so if you can solve it, it would certainly give you an advantage in the market, and it would be something I think you could advertise to businesses.

I think is a general problem https://storage.googleapis.com/play_public/supported_devices.html only old models are supported. I have palma 2 and boox 3c and same issue. They need to fix the issue in the software and work hand by hand with google.

Just got a Palma 2 and turns out I can’t log in to any of my reading apps (especially Readwise Reader and Shonen Jump). All checks are failing in Play Integrity API Checker. Seems unlikely, reading this thread, but has anyone had any luck resolving their own access issues so far?

Dear Boox team. What is the status now? I have same issue on my boox air 4c. I cannot use chatgpt app because of it. And I think much more but I am just started exploring the device which is generally great. But with this limitation it makes hard to use it in all my use cases.
