Turn off backlight after some time
I just got a Boox Go Color 7 and if I'm not mistaken, the "Auto sleep" function turns the screen into a static image. I don't see any option to automatically turn backlight off after a certain period of inactivity. That is very strange. I would expect such a thing to be supported.
I want to use the device as a wall screen for my home automation system, so I would like to have it on all the time, but without backlight, unless I tap on it or press a button. Isn't that possible?

In 7 months you still haven’t added such an essential feature, without which the battery just melts before your eyes? Is this a damn joke? Or do you not get that it’s impossible to use your color e-readers without a frontlight? So the only way is to wake them up with a button every 3-5 minutes? That’s a freaking facepalm. Today I’m sending back the ONYX NOTE AIR 4 C - it's unusable.
