i have the same problem. cannot find activate google play....I am using Boox Leaf5c

The Leaf 5 C is a Chinese version of BOOX device. Therefore, we are afraid that it does not have Google Play pre-installed. In this case, you can try to download the Google Play Services app APK file via the link below:
https://apkpure.com/google-play-services/com.google.android.gms/download
After that, you can transfer the APK file to your BOOX device and open it to install the Google Play services. Then, please check if it is possible to download apps from Google Play.

I tried as you suggested to side load google playstore and install. But after installing when I try to open the app, it always crashes.
Can I ask if google playstore apk is it the same as google play services that you mentioned above?

In other words do I need to install two different apk? One for google play services and one for google playstore?
