Auto-save PDF bug (Boox Note Air, V3.1)

I am using the default Notes app, and have a notebook with a canvas size of 1x2 (long). In Notes > settings I have the option "Automatically generate PDF files after exiting a notepad" set to ON. When I view saved PDF files in the storage folder for this file I find that only the top half of the 1x2 page is saved, not the whole thing. The same happens if I press save within the note itself. However when I press export from within the note and select "all pages" I get the full 1x2 document. This seems like a bug - I want the whole document (all pages) saved to pdf with autosave/save. Grateful for some help.
