Onyx keyboard and handwriting recognition

I’m having a few problems with the Onyx keyboard and handwriting input. I use a Note Air 4C with the actual Software. And i use a different App then Notes!

The handwriting recognition works very well. I would like to be able to delete a recognized letter or an entire word with a gesture using the pen. That doesn’t seem to work. I always have to tap the backspace symbol next to the input field with the pen to delete individual letters.

The second problem: If I don’t write a complete sentence, there is no space after the last word. When I continue writing, the next word is added directly to the last word – without a space. I can set the settings so that a space is always inserted after a word, but then a space is ALWAYS inserted. I would prefer to be able to enter a space above the input field with the pen using a gesture. Is that possible?

Does the Onyx keyboard recognize gestures?

  We apologize for the inconvenience. We are afraid that the handwriting recognition on the Onyx Keyboard does not support gestures. The gestures and smart scribble feature are only available in the built-in Notes app. Many thanks for your understanding.
