Changing default storage (Kindle etc) to memory card

Apologies if this is obvious, but how do I change default storage locations so that I can automatically make use of the 256gb memory card rather than the internal storage?

  Dear customer,

  We are afraid that it is unable to change the default storage location to the MicroSD card. The app can only be installed in the local storage of the device. However, you can manually transfer the books to the MicroSD card. In the Kindle app, you can go to More > Settings > Local File Access > Add Folder > Select a folder on the MicroSD. Then, you can use the Kindle app to open books that are stored on the microSD card.

  It would be great if Micro SD card could be used as a Adoptable Storage.
  I want to have my work files at SD card, but not unencrypted...
