Feature request (Note Air 4 C - but applicable to all)

Hello BOOX team,

I have owned several Boox products now and because I often use my Boox (currently the Note Air 4 C) in darkened rooms, I need to have the front light on when using it. Unfortunately, this means that I deplete the battery in a few days.

I would like to request a feature related to front-light power management.

Currently, BOOX devices allow setting a sleep timer, but there is no option to automatically turn off the front light after a short period of inactivity while keeping the device awake. These two behaviours are different, and both are useful.

Use case:
When reading or note-taking, there are often short pauses of a few minutes where the device remains in use but the front light is no longer needed. In these cases, putting the device to sleep is not desirable because it's slow to wake up, but keeping the front light on wastes battery unnecessarily.

Requested behaviour:

• Add an optional setting such as:
  “Turn off front light after X minutes of inactivity”

• This should be independent of the sleep timer.

• Any user interaction (touch, pen input, button press) would restore the previous light state.

Why this matters:

• E-ink displays do not require lighting to remain readable in many environments.

• The front light is one of the largest contributors to battery drain.

• This would vastly improve battery life without disrupting workflow.

Optional (related) enhancement:

• Offer more than one light preset. It would nice to have several preset lighting settings such as one for day use, another for night (bedtime reading) use, etc.

This would be a small but meaningful quality-of-life improvement for users who read or write intermittently over long sessions.
