NEOREADER ISSUE: marker annotations in PDF not shown properly with neoreader

I have a BOOX 13.3'' Tab X C. Somehow, marker annotations in PDF files that are created using other tools (e.g., drawboard on Windows, with "use legacy digital ink" enabled) are rendered in NeoReader as solid lines on top of the text, completely covering the text beneath.

  Dear customer,
  In this case, you could try to open the PDF on your Tab X C > tap on the center of the page to bring up the menu > click "More" on the top right corner > Embed Data to PDF. Then, please check if the problem can be fixed.
