Adjust PDF and Similar
In this article, you will learn how to adjust the layout of fixed formats, including PDF, DJVU, CBR, CBZ, PPT, PPTX, etc. You can get a tailored reading experience via settings in the Style tab and Navigation tab within NeoReader.
Page Display
Single Page View: Display one page at a time.
Scrolling View: Displays pages in a continuous vertical column. Connecting your device with a mouse, you can scroll with the scroll wheel.
Two-Page View (Left to Right): Display two pages from left to right.
Two-Page View (Right to Left): Displays two pages from right to left.
Note: Switching to the Two-Page View will automatically change the screen orientation to a horizontal (landscape) view. |
Zoom
Zoom In / Zoom Out: Enlarge or reduce the size of a page.
Marquee Zoom: Select a specific area to zoom in.
Pinch-to-zoom: Enable/Disable "Pinch-to-zoom" in Floating Tool Bar>Gesture. And you can use two fingers to zoom in/out.
When the page exceeds the display area after zooming, tap the Reset button in the Floating Toolbar. You can also tap the Pan button in the Floating Toolbar to pan around the nearby area.
Crop/Margin
Fit Screen: Automatically crops the view to fit the full page.
Fit Width: Automatically crops the view to fit the width of the screen.
Marquee Crop: Select a specific area to manually crop the margin.
Reset: Reset all zooming and cropping and return to the original view.
Margin: Adjust the Margin to fine-tune the cropping effect.
Note: Marquee Zoom and Marquee Crop are similar in effect. Tapping the page-turn area in Marquee Zoom status will go to the previous/next part of the current page, while tapping the page-turn area in Marquee Crop status will go to the previous/next page, so use Manual Crop only to crop the margin of the pages. |

Navigation
In NeoReader, Navigation only shows when you are reading fixed layout formats like PDF. You can choose different modes or reflow to get a better reading experience.
Comic Mode: This mode is designed for comic or manga files read from right to left.
Article Mode: This mode is designed for articles with more than one column on a page.
Reflow: For files with only one column or consisting of unselectable texts, you can choose Reflow to adjust the documents based on the file type. If your documents are OCR-recognized, you can tap the Text-based tab for more info.
More (Subpage Customization): Here you can customize your subpage division settings such as cropping, columns, and reading directions.
Reset: If you want to start over with the Navigation Tool, you can tap Reset to return to the original settings.
PDF OCR
With firmware V4.0, OCR works in the background while you read PDFs, so you can continue turning pages and annotating without any wait.
