Before you use your BOOX: Important notes for BOOX users

Thank you for choosing BOOX. To ensure optimal performance and a smooth start with your new device, please take a moment to review the following important notes when you receive your BOOX device:

1. Create an ONYX account

Go to "Settings" > Tap ONYX Account > Add > Register and log in

2. Update your device to the latest firmware

Even brand-new devices might not come with the latest firmware due to transit and warehouse storage time. Our team regularly releases updates to improve performance and fix bugs.

Please update your device as soon as possible to ensure stability and the best user experience.

3. Regularly back up your data

Unexpected issues—like system freezes or reboots—may require a factory reset, which will erase all stored data.

We strongly recommend backing up your important files regularly, especially before any major changes or troubleshooting steps.

4. Inspect your device upon arrival

After unboxing, please check the device and accessories for any visible issues or missing items.

Note: The marker tips are packed inside the zipper carton (not the black box). If you don't see them immediately, check the corners and inside the packaging carefully.
