Language and Server

Before the first use, you can set up language, input, and server for your BOOX device. The server selection is essential for cloud services and firmware updates.
 

Language

In Home Screen, go to Settings > Languages & Input > Languages.

 

Input

1. Choose your input method

Settings > Languages & Input > Default Keyboard.

You can do advanced keyboard settings by tapping the options below.

2. Split Keyboard to Oynx Keyboard

Split Keyboard allows you to type conveniently with two hands on big screens or in landscape mode:
 
2.1 Tap Setting＞Languages & Input ＞Defult Keyboard. Choose ONYX Keyboard as your default keyboard.

2.2 Tap the setting icon on the keyboard and choose "Split Keyboard".

2.3 Dragging the arrow in the middle, you can change the position of the keyboard.

Server

  1. In Home Screen, go to Settings > Servers.
  2. Choose your preferred server.
 
Note:
  1. Please choose your server based on your location to ensure the network speed for cloud services and firmware updates.
  2. Please choose your server consistently between different devices for the same account to avoid incomplete data syncing.
