App Management Settings

In this article, you will learn more about the app management settings on your device.
To access the app management settings, do the following:
- In Home Screen, go to Apps.
- Tap the hamburger menu in the top right corner and choose App Management.
USB Debug Mode
Enabling USB Debug Mode allows your device to fully communicate with a computer to transfer data or use advanced tools.
App Info
Here you can manage or uninstall your apps.
Location Setting
Here you can manage the location settings of your devices to use location-based services.
Auto Start Settings
Here you can enable/disable the auto-start settings of your apps.
Note: The auto-start functions will increase power consumption and may cause the device to run slowly.

Refresh Mode Settings
Here you can manage the refresh mode settings for each app.
Force follow system direction
Here you can manage the settings to force each app to follow the system direction.
App Freeze
Here you can manage the freeze settings for some apps to optimize the performance of the device and save power.
Note: Using the Freeze functions will prevent the app from any operation in the background such as sending notifications.

Automatically obtain cloud optimization configuration
Here you can enable/disable the cloud optimization for your apps.
Show Optimization-off Badge
Here you can enable/disable the display of the icons in the Apps tab to indicate the app is not optimized for E Ink devices.
Autofill the available app icon space
This setting is only applicable when you choose "Sort manually" in the "Sort by" setting for icon arrangement. When disabled, the newly downloaded app will be arranged after the last app in the Apps tab. When enabled, the newly downloaded app will be arranged in the first available space in the Apps tab.
