Tab Ultra 3.3.1 running Android 11 - cannot see folder in "Documents."

Hello,

I am very inexperienced with Android, but I have searched for this issue pretty thoroughly and cannot find a solution. An app created a folder in "Documents," and is using the folder, but I cannot see the folder when I navigate there through the "Documents" icon.
The folder is there - two apps are accessing it and show that it is there. But I cannot not see it. When I open the Documents folder it says there are 0 folders in it; it just shows the files *in* the folders. But I can see in two other apps that they are accessing the folder I am looking for.
How do I find this folder?

For that matter, how do I manage files and folders in my device? Opening the "Documents" icon shows me they are there, but how do I create a folder, for example?

  I noticed the same problem. For a workaround I formatted a microSD as FAT32. I inserted the SD and DID NOT choose the setup option on SD icon in the upper left corner. I created several folders under Documents on the SD which are viewable on my computer and the Boox. I also noted the add folder icon is available on the Boox when I select the SD card.
