Notes and Neoreader kinda suck
I use this device for note taking and I don't understand why pdf hyperlinks for pdf templates don't work in the notes app. I have templates that I'd like to use for planners and note taking, but the links are dead in the notes app. I've tried using neoreader instead, here, the pdf hyperlinks work, but neoreader is useless for me because it lacks the ability to add a page from the app, plus it is unreliable in regards to saving annotated changes. I researched to see if maybe I was missing something and instead I've seen Boox reps commenting more than a year ago that they were looking to add the capability, and to this day, nothing has been done. I wish I'd known the handicap this device has before I bought it. Starting to regret this purchase.

Looks like this is still unresolved? Just received the Air 3C, coming from an RM2, this is pretty much deal killer and will have to return it.

I was also a bit surprised at this but in the end found that NeoReader worked OK for me. Not being able to add template pages being the biggest compromise - just need to make sure that the document was "fully populated" before starting to work with it.
Do you know if any of the other tablets available offer this functionality? It does seem like something that might exist but as soon as you start thinking about the implementation details (maintaining hyperlinks, easily defining hyperlinks on inserted pages, etc) it's easier to see why this is easier said than done.0 -
Jake S -- if you're still around, can you confirm what the behaviour of RM2 is for this? As far as I know the functionality of RM2 is very similar to NeoReader.

There's a single app on RM2 that handles notes and PDF. So the note taking experience is exactly the same on RM2 and you don't have to go into separate places (eg Library vs Notes). Works very well, completely seamless, and links in the PDF all work. Unfortunately you lose a lot of other capability with the RM2. I'm sticking with the BOOX but it is painfully clunky in comparison, the separate apps/experience is absurd, and copy paste from one PDF page (eg when using a calendar template) to a onother takes around 8 or 9 clicks instead of 2 or 3. Really poor workflow.
