Annotations from old Boox are hardcoded when I open same doc on new Boox
I've just upgraded from a Boox Max Pro 2 to a Boox Tab Ultra. After syncing my files (I had already been using Dropsync on my Max so I did the same with my Tab Ultra), I've noticed that the annotations I made on my Max are hardcoded into the PDF when I open it on my Tab Ultra. When I open documents on my Max (which is the device I was using when I made the annotations) the annotations are still editable, but on my Tab Ultra they're not. They are baked into the PDF and the annotations don't show in the Table of Contents list of handwritten notes. Is there a workaround for this? Would I have better luck if I sync with something other than Dropsync?

Dear customer,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
In this case, we suggest opening the PDF on your Tab Ultra. And then, please try the steps below to import the embedded data and please check whether it is possible to edit the annotations in the PDF.
Many thanks for your time and understanding.
Sincerely,
Derek
