Page V3.5.4 causes launcher/settings crash on non stock OS dpi

After updating to v3.5.4 I noticed trying to go to the onyx launcher (content browser app) from nova launcher or another app would cause the app to crash. I found out this is because if you change the stock OS dpi in developer options to anything higher then 694 (I use 790 for more content on the screen) the only app that crashes is the ironically the launcher and as such the boox settings since it's tied to the launcher app. This was not an issue in the previous firmwares as far as I could tell.
