Password set via Google is alphanumeric - BOOX only allows numbers
My BOOX was logged into my Google account. I left my BOOX Go behind while traveling, logged into Google on my phone, and locked the BOOX with an alphanumeric password.
After recovering my BOOX, I can unlock it without issue. However, I am unable to change the password. When I try to change the password (Settings -> Password -> Set Password), BOOX restricts input to numbers. Even when I have a Bluetooth keyboard connected, characters other than numbers are ignored.
Under the password field, the text states “This model does not support resetting passwords.”
Is there another way I can reset the password, other than factory resetting the entire device?

Dear customer,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
We are sorry that the BOOX device does not support setting an alphanumeric password. Since the BOOX device does not support resetting passwords, we are afraid that you may need to do a factory reset the unlock the device. In this case, you can follow the steps in the video at the link below to reset the device.
