Notes App - pop-up while panning across canvas prevents writing until pop-up disappears
Note Air4 C - 2025-09_20-02_4.0_43a9adea0
Hello,
My use case requires me to write very long lines on one continuous line. Therefore I have expanded the canvas beyond for instance a standard A4 template. Once I have written to the width of the screen, logically I need to pan over to reach the next part of the canvas to continue writing my line. When I do this a pop-op window appears on the top right, almost always exactly where I am writing, to show me where I am on the canvas. It stays there for a few seconds before it disappears. The issue is I cannot write anything anywhere until it disappears. This slows up writing dramatically as moving it even a pixel seems to activate it. I do not always need to know where I am on the canvas as I can orientate myself using what I am writing. Please add an option to deactivate this pop-up for those that want to. As it is, it is making the Notes App unusable in my case and basically therefore for me the whole tablet, as great as it otherwise is.
OneNote works the way I describe above, being able to pan across a canvas of any size and be able to write immediately unhindered. Unfortunately that is not a great option as the way the Note Air4 C seems to work when one is using a template, the template guide lines tend to fade into invisibility in the background as you pan across and what's worse stop lining up with the written text, the template lines begin to float even through the written text. The result is non straight lines of text. I tried different e-ink control center settings, all of them but it did not really help. I find OneNote on this device therefore also fairly unusable in that use case.
For me the solution would be the native Notes App but not being blocked from writing for several seconds every time I zoom/pan, even 1 pixel across the canvas. For sure I cannot be the only person who has noticed this.
Please add it in to the device if you can or point me where there is already a setting to turn that pop-up off.
It would be very helpful additionally if the template for example A4 with lines can be optionally expand to the width of the canvas too, as generally one has an A4 sized area of the canvas with lines, but the rest of the expanded canvas area is left blank.
These seem like small things but for some can be deal breakers. I think a lot of people would use these.
Thank you.
