Adjusting template to canvas size

I saw here that it's possible to splice the template whenever I double the canvas size. I have two questions.

I'm on a NAC4, and I can't find this option, where is it located?
Why isn't it done automatically? When I use my grid point template, I kinda expect that when I double the canvas, the template "doubles" as well.

  Dear customer,

  In this case, you can click "Page Margin Adjustment" from the toolbar to expand the canvas. However, we are afraid that the template is not expandable.

  Hello, 

  I do not understand why such an important feature was simply removed. What is the point of having page expansion if templates do not follow the new page size? Especially idiotic when older versions of the software supported this. 

   

  But I guess that removing functional parts of software is today's motto in all software developement.
