NeoReader 3.0 issues (Go 10.3 2025-01-22_23-33_v4.0 and Air4c 2025-01-09_20-02_4.0)
- Some epubs are no longer opened with NeoReader 3.0 (worked perfectly with 3.5.4 on Go 10.3, and other devices). With fw4.0 the book starts opening, the cover is shown and then NeoReader quits (or switches to a previously opened book).
- in some fb2 books the cover is not shown when opening book (worked on 3.5.4)
- when scanning book covers, some are not revealed for epub and fb2 files on Air4c, but on Go 10.3 fw4.0 somehow appear.
I can provide files with issues on fw4.0 upon request.
- There still something broken in books position sync. I was able to sync from Go 10.3 fw3.5.4 to Air4c, but it never worked in reverse. Now both devices are with fw4.0 and sync doesn't work in any direction.

Alright!
If somebody needs a workaround: most of epub/fb2 incompatibilities with FW 4.0 are gone after switching off V3 engine in NeoReader settings.
Sync still is the issue.

I'm having the same problems, my upubs won't open anymore. I sent the prints via feedback from the device, but I still haven't received a response, it's been 3 days.
When I turned off the V3 engine inside NeoReader it worked, but now I can't make the background black, and I'm having problems with the text markings.
Is there any way to downgrade?

Hi Junior,
We are sincerely sorry that the BOOX device does not support downgrading the firmware. However, our team is aware of this issue and will fix it in the next firmware update. In this case, we would appreciate it if you could kindly wait for the new firmware. Or you could use 3rd-party apps such as the KOReadr to read books in dark mode.
We also suggest applying for the beta test via Settings > Firmware Update > Apply for Beta Test. Once you join the test group, our tech team will send you the new firmware once it is available. Many thanks for your understanding!0
