We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We are sorry to inform you that the BOOX device does not support downgrading the firmware version.We suspect the problem is related to poor contact between the device and the keyboard. In this case, please check if the keyboard is connected to the device properly. You could also go to Settings > More Settings > Physical Keyboard > disable to "Restore portrait mode after the keyboard is disconnected". Then, please check if the problem can be fixed.
Regarding the issue of the volume buttons do not work and the system freezing, please kindly go to "Settings" > "FAQ & Feedback" > click the hamburger icon on the top right corner > "Settings" > enable "Save logs to local storage before rebooting the device".
After that, please reproduce this issue on your device. When the issue occurs again, please immediately submit feedback via "Settings" > "FAQ & Feedback" > "+" on your device. Please make sure that you tick the option "send logs" and describe the question in the feedback. Our technical team will get back to you as soon as possible after you submit the Feedback. I would like to enquire about my issue regarding the same firmware version and device model as well.
Since the update side volume button, used as a "next page" button doesn't work properly. While "previous page" works as intended, "next page" doesn't respond to single press, and pressing and holding results in turning multiple pages in quick succession.
I've tried restarting the device, to no effect.0 -

I’m extremely disappointed with this update. My EPUB files have stopped working properly, and I can only open them if I disable V3 within NeoReader. However, even then, I’m experiencing issues changing the background color of the text – the black background option is no longer available – and the highlights are not working correctly. Now, learning that a downgrade is not possible makes me even more frustrated, as everything was working perfectly before. This is really disappointing.
