Nova 2 Firmware update rebooted into Chinese language
Greetings, I hope this email finds you well.
The latest firmware update rebooted my tablet into the bios screen. It accepts user input from touch, which accidentally landed me on factory reset. Before I knew it the tablet was rebooting and wiping my data. Why would you let the screen be an input for such a critical point in operation? That should be tactile buttons only.
When it got done the language was in Chinese not English. It took a while at guessing where to go to get the language set back properly. Terrible. I'm really ticked off that this basic operation was such a wreck, especially since I am familiar with the Android bios screen - never expecting a touch on the digitizer to advance AND acknowledge an action that I never intended!
It's too late to do anything at this point except change the reboot routine. And where is the documentation on how to enter that mode anyway? I've tried long press, combined with all sorts of combinations with the home page button...
Disappointed,
Matthew.
