Syncing of notes between boox devices

I've read here in the forum that there are issues with syncing notes between devices. I'm considering to buy a Nova 2, I have a Max 3, latest firmware, but syncing notes with all highlights, annotations is very important. Will it work or is this still an issue?

  I have my Nova 2 by now.

  I can sync notes via the boox cloud, which is good.

  I think I expressed myself badly, I was talking about highlights and annotations on documents. At least for pdf files it works as expected. 

  Are you still planning on making highlights and annotations syncing for epub possible?
