Cannot delete annotations or highlights--Nova 2

I created an annotation in an epub and there is no way to delete it now. Also, I created a highlight using the new "recognize" feature in 2.3.1 and that also cannot be deleted.

I'd also like to know where to find the annotation doc referenced in the manual as doc-annotations. I could not find it in storage.

  Same issue. How to delete the highlighting made in an epub file?? I tried selecting the highlighted words and the "rubbish bin" but it does not work.
