Note 2 - V2.3.1 - Warm front light color will not always be switched on by long-pressing the back button
I detected another bug within the new V2.3.1 firmware version:
If the front-light is switched on by long-pressing the back button sometimes only the cold front light color will be switched on and the warm front light color stays switched off.
This error only occurs sometimes. Sometimes it works an both front light colors are correctly switched on.
It seems like this release has not been tested very well, because it's the second bug I detected after a single day using the new firmware (see https://help.boox.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360071580351-Note-2-V2-3-1-NeoReader-looses-two-column-page-setting-after-standby ).
I managed to download the old V2.3 firmware but I cannot install it, because the installation detects that the V2.3 release should be installed over a newer one.
It would be nice if you allow your customers to roll back to the prior firmware version in case there will be serious (or just annoying) bugs within the new release.
The standard answer "Generally speaking, it is not recommended to downgrade the firmware..." does not help in such cases.
Especially because the V2.3.1 is just a bug fix release (because only the third version number has changed) there should be no data loss if returning to the same minor release (2.3) without the bug fixes...which in fact adds several new bugs.
Best regards

The error is still persistent in Firmware Note2 v3.0. It occurs always after a restart or shutdown. It doesn't occur during standby.
Just restart the reader. Then long press the button to activate the background light and you will see it is always cold white and it doesn’t matter which setting existed before.
