What was the resolution?  Mine is doing the same thing.  The nib is brand new...I just got the Note Air a few days ago...

Any update on this issue?  I'm having the same problem on a brand new device.

Changing the nibs on the pen worked for me.  Not sure how often you should have to, but I'm having to change them about every 6-8 weeks.

Same same here. Any official fixes for this?

I replaced the nib in the pen, and that did the trick.

Similar sensitivity issues. Replacing the tip is a good default. In a pinch, snipping the tip of the nib also works. Overtime the plastic nib surface is no longer uniform, it develops wear/fuzz like an eraser (this gets picked up by the touch screen).
