Back button function on Max 3

Hi,

I have a couple of issues with my new Max 3:

- Why is the 'Back button' (hardware center button at the bottom) called like that if it doesn't provide a back function? Or if it does, how do I enable it?

- It seems that when managing apps, browsing through files etc, to go back one step I need to sweep down top menu and click on the back little triangle icon ... which is not the most direct way.
Being Android OS, I miss the bottom three icons 'back' 'home' and 'recents' standard on any Android device.
I've tried to use one of the many apps available that places an overlaid 3 button' bar. They all work fine for the home and 'recents' button, however none of them work for 'back' and I get sent always to the home page rather than whatever place or page I was last.

It looks like your 'back' function is implemented in a different way from any other Android device? Why?

Please consider adding a standard 3 button bar.
