Can't connect macbook pro as external monitor to Max Lumi
Hi,
I can't connect my macbook pro (2018, with 4 Thuderbolt 3 ports) to the Max Lumi. I have followed the video, and have both the computer and lumi plugged in to main power supplies. Every time I try to connect it connects for a few seconds, then the connection fails. The mac's screen sometimes resizes itself, and a Toshiba tablet appears in display settings, but it only lasts for a few seconds, then the connection fails.
I have tried both rebooting the Lumi and the mac, and booting in safe mode. It makes no difference and basically appears that the mac can't recognise the Lumi for anything other than a few seconds.
Any idea on what I can do to fix? This was a big reason I went for this product.
Best,
L

I got my max lumi to connect using a Windows virtual machine that I run with parallel desktop. Set the virtual machine to have the recommended resolution, once it's connected, Mac OS takes over and you can tweak display mode for this "Toshiba" thing however you want.
