Bookmarks seem not to work on Max2

I have got a Max2 with up-to-date software. Bookmarking pages in PDF documents, e.g. the user manual, seems not to work. When tapping the tag icon in the upper right corner, the next page is displayed, but no bookmark found in the TOC. Do I need to enable something to make it work?

  Well, found out myself: scribble mode must be disabled to create bookmarks.
