PDF disappeared or deleted on my boox nova

Hello I am from Argentina. On my Boox Nova 2 underlined pdf files that I need to recover disappeared. I can't find them. They erased themselves. I updated the system and tampos appear. And to search for them with a recovery software it asks me for root. What can I do or how can I get them back? Thank you!

  It's okay. While I'm waiting to see if you can tell me how to get the files back ... how can I sync the edited PDFs or back them up? I'm not talking about the timing of the notes.

  I put my PDF in folders and they all disappeared .  This took HOURS of work.  Why is this not an easy function on this 500.00 tables?
