Better drawing features in Notes app

The recent features to the drawing app in v3.0 are pretty good, but they could be even better with the following features.

I've listed them in order of priority:

1. Implement smart shape drawing tools.

If I draw a semi-straight line and hold the pen still for 1 second, then the line should be converted to a straight line shape automatically. If I draw a triangle, circle or square shape and hold pen still for 1 second, then these are automatically converted to the correct shape with roughly the same dimensions I drew.

Without this feature, I have to use a compass and ruler to properly draw these shapes. The existing shape drawing tools suck because of the poor refresh rate on eink. If you had the feature I mentioned, it would be much easier to draw clean shapes of the desired dimensions.

2. Implement handwriting smoothing

The handwriting quality can come out pretty illegible, sometimes because of the feedback delay between writing and seeing the output on screen, and because of the inaccuracy in the pen's calibration that I believe is a limitation of the digitiser and EMR stylus being used.

This feature "smooths out" the handwriting to improve its appearance and legibility. It should be a toggle feature so it can be turned off if the user wants directly handwriting output.

 

Boox please implement these features in the next big release. I can help you develop them too if you want :)
