Pdf annotations in neoreader not syncing on max lumi

I have an onyx boox note pro and a max lumi. With the note pro I can open pdfs from OneDrive in neoreader v3.0, do annotations and these sync with my OneDrive flawlessly without any third party sync app or manual sync. On the lumi however opening a pdf from OneDrive in neoreader creates a local copy where all annotations show up and with no sync to OneDrive. All settings are the same but different firmwares (latest ones for both devices). What could be the problem here?

  You can try a app named Autosync for OneDrive-OneSync.
