Lost notes data after 3.1 update

    i've sent a ticket through "feedback" in settings and attached device logs. This is really URGENT as i've lost data 😭

    The notes on my Max3 are apparently synchronised via the Onyx account. At least the tick is displayed on the notes. On push.boox.com, however, the data is no longer displayed. Under "oldNotes" the data is no longer updated and under "newNotes" no new notes can be found.

    Same as Lizurek here, old data are there, new data cannot be synchronized. When I chat with them through "feedback" on push.boox.com yesterday, they replied that they had a problem with cloud storage and need expansion. 

    Hello, we are very sorry for this trouble. Due to the dramatic increase in the number of overseas users, the cloud disk space is insufficient, and an emergency expansion is still processing. Please try to sync again later.

    So I guess, just wait for them to solve it. But it surprises me that it is still not fixed now.

    After Update my NOTE2 to Firmware 3.2.1 two weeks ago i run into the same problem. On the device my notes are displayed as thumbnails but when i open them the note is blank. Returning back even the thumbnail picture blanks out too. Notes are synchronized to EUR Server but my old notes can there be displayed only right in "old" mode. New Notes will be displayed under "new" mode. I use my Boox device in business, so actually i can not use my hundreds of notes created before the Firmware Update. I need a solution so convert the data format for my notes all to the "new" format. How can this be done? This problem seems unsolved since over one year. Does anyone have a solution?

    Hi Vladimir, we apologize for the inconvenience.

    In this case, we are wondering would it be possible that you could try to export the blank notes to a vector PDF. After that, please open the exported PDF and see if it is still blank or garbled.
     


    We understand that the problem is not on exporting note but the note itself. This test would be helpful for us to gather more info for troubleshooting. If the exported file garbled, this is a known issue and it will be fixed on firmware version v3.2.2.

    You could submit feedback on "Settings" > "Feedback" > "+". And our tech team will send you the new firmware update package first when it is available.

    I did the export of my "blank" note as suggested. The result is as in fact a garbled text.

    Looks like the information is not lost but there is a problem with the rendering. (see picture)

    After checking with our tech team, this is a known issue and it will be fixed in the new firmware v3.2.2. In this case, you could submit feedback on your device on "Settings" > "Feedback" > "+". And please write down "Notes are blank and exported PDF is garbled, please send firmware v3.2.2 update package when it is available." on the problem description.

    After receiving your feedback, our tech team will preferentially send you the update package when it is available.

    In this case, please backup your notes and then restore the backup and see if the problem persisted. Below are the steps for backup and restoring the notes:

    Dear all,

     

    I have the same problem... or at least similar.

     

    A couple of weeks ago my Nova 2 was lost ... and I bought the Note Air 2 plus. I was happy that the notes are still in the push. When I logged into push.boox.com today, it asked me to switch to 'new data'; I did that and now almost all of them are gone. Furthermore, earlier for each file the size was kind of okish, but now it says 0B. I tried to switch to 'old' but then I have no notes at all.

    Any suggestion. These notes are all my work ..
