Boox Nova 2 Nook app compatibility

I have the Nook reader app installed on my Nova 2 and the Nook menus do not display along the top of the screen.  The menus are functional if you know where to press, but they are not visible.  My Boox Nova 2 is updated to the latest firmware.  Any suggestions?  The Kindle app displays fine, so this a Nova 2 - Nook specific issue.  Thanks.

  Thanks for your post. Kindly understand there will be an issue of compatibility when using a third-party app. Please submit Feedback via Settings/ Feedback on your device. Please make sure that you tick the option "send logs" while sending the Feedback. Our technical team will try to optimize this issue in the next firmware update.

  Have you tried going into the apps optimization menu and unchecking the whiten background option at the bottom of the first screen?

  Hi,  Thanks for your suggestion.  I was finally able to get the Nook app to display the menu along the top of the screen.  I kept trying options in the Nook app and Boox apps screen including yours and it finally worked as it does on my android phone.
