    Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry, it's not available to include the indexed text on a hidden layer. We will see if we can develop this function in the near future.

    Hi there!

I would love to have this feature!

I keep a daily log of my activities at work and after one month I have a notebook with more than 60 pages. Book Note 3 starts having troubles with handling books of that size and I decided to export them to PDF regularly. I do not want, however, to loose an option to search through my logs.

    Hi

Is there any update on this - this is a key feature for me as all my notes go into a desktop database.

I really like my Note Air - I feel the cost of a large screen e ink reader is reflected in the excellent build quality. I purchased the Note Air as I wanted improved handwriting 'feel' experience - which I largely have (at least better than my iPad pro without a matt screen protector). The other functionality I needed was a larger screen to read and annotate PDFs/epub/newspapers - as I already own a smaller e ink device. Congratulations Onyx you've created a great device with the Note Air.

But - I've taken a step backwards regarding Onyx's dumb notes exportation. I've been able to search exported handwriting (converted to text & handwriting with hidden searchable layer) for a number of years now using iPad pro apps & Livescribe paper system pdf export.

So, in it's current form exported pdfs are have no use to me.

Does Onyx Boox have a timeline for adding a search function to exported pdfs?

    TY

    Jay

Checking in two years later... this is core functionality. If you can't find your note what's the point of putting it in the cloud?

    Any update on this Boox?

You can search scribbles so shouldn't be a massive amount of work to include the searchable layer in the PDF export...

Any update on this feature is appreciated

    TY

    Hi All

I managed to export several PDF's from my Onxy Boox Note 2 to my pc.

I have checked in both adobe and in Onenote. The PDF text is still searchable.

I use a OneDrive app/program on my Note 2 to auto export the files to my onedrive on my PC.

Long John Silver Could you go into more details about your settings in OneDrive and the default Notes app on Boox?

I installed Microsoft OneDrive and through Settings > Camera backup I found a way to backup the `media` folder. That is the only one listed.

How do you then setup the default Notes app on Boox to export PDFs to the `media` folder?

... or do you have this configured some other way?

Long John Silver are you exporting handwriting as a pdf that is then searchable? That's the original feature request. Amazing, if you can indeed do this. Please specify if it's handwriting and your process. Thanks

    Hi

My apologize - I thought the post was referring to PDF's original text and not the handwriting annotation. I had previously challenges with the PDF becoming unsearchable after adding the annotations.

I will crawl back into my crave....

No problem - I'd got my hopes up that Boox had begun focusing on core features!
