    Thanks for that. Unfortunately, “maximize compatibility” was already enabled and the more complicated instructions did not work either.

    I am in hospital right now, so unable to connect this to my usual WiFi at home or work. But I will try the more complicated instructions again later and may just ask my son to take this device home to set up on my home WiFi network.

    On another note, neither my note max nor my Note Air 3c can connect to the public “mtSinaiguest” network. Both get a network server error when going through the verification process. This process, of course, works fine for connecting my MacBook to the hospital network.

    Ah, but my noteair3c can connect to the hot spot on my phone. I may try examining the settings it has for that hot spot connection and try those out on the Note Max to see if I get success in that way.

    Well, I cannot replicate the settings for the NoteAir3c onto the Note Max. The noteair3c simply connects seamlessly to the IPhone hotspot without any special jiggering to the settings, while the Note Max seems to connect but then gives “weak network connection” and does not connect. Both devices sitting the same distance from the iPhone: one (the older model Note air3c) works, the other (brand new Note Max) does not.

    Thank you for your reply and we apologize for the inconvenience. In this case, please update the firmware of your Note Max to the latest version first. You could update the firmware via "Settings" > "More Settings" > "System Update" on your device.

    If the Note Max can connect to the wifi properly but not with the hotspot, we would appreciate it if you could reproduce the issue of connecting to the hotspot. After that, please connect the device to a wifi and submit feedback via Settings > FAQ & Feedback > +. Please make sure that you tick the option "send logs" and please describe the question in the feedback. Our technical team will get back to you as soon as possible after you submit the Feedback.
