Boox Color 7 Beeping every few seconds anf flicker
Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my Boox Color 7 that started recently. After powering on the device, it starts beeping every few seconds, and at the same time, some UI elements briefly flicker – not the entire screen, just certain parts of the interface like buttons or icons. The device stays on, but it’s not usable in this state, as the beeping and flickering continue indefinitely.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:

Forced reboot by holding the power button

Removing any accessories (case, USB devices, etc.)

Letting the battery fully drain and recharging
Unfortunately, none of that helped.
One more thing: If no app is open (e.g. on the home screen), then the entire screen flickers briefly instead of just UI elements. This flickering always happens in sync with the beeping.
Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be a firmware issue or a hardware defect?Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

We suspect the beeping sound is caused by the notifications on your device. In this case, after you hear the beeping sound, please swipe down from the top left of the screen to bring up the notification center and check whether the sound is caused by the notifications. If so, you could swipe left on the notification and click the gear icon to turn off the notification for this app. Or you can swipe down from the top right of the screen to bring up the Control Center > long-press the speaker icon to enter the sound settings > turn on "Do Not Disturb" or turn off the "Ring and notification volume". Then, please check if the problem can be fixed.
