Go Color 7 not retaining app settings

Ihave been trying to get the Go Color 7 to allow me to change the battery settings in Hoopla to Unrestricted because I am unable to use the app with its default settings (it doesn't let me download any media, which is Hoopla's one function). How can I get my deviceto save this setting change'?

  We apologize for the inconvenience. We suspect the problem is related to the battery restriction. In this case, please kindly long-press the Hoopla app icon > Optimize > Others > enable "Stay active in the background". Then, please check if it is possible to remove the battery restriction. If so, please check if the problem can be fixed. Many thanks for your understanding.

  I just came to find the answer to this issue as well. The suggested fix worked for me.
