ebook management on the Air 5C
hello all
just got my 5C today and i'm struggling to actually organise my library... there doesn't appear to be any area for book series or anything like that, and adding books to separate shelves takes frickin' forever since you have to manually go through your library to select them, you can't search author and add them via search...
Does anyone know of a good way to actually manage book series like this on the Air line, or is it best just installing an epub software that actually has decent book management?
thanks for any help

Dear customer,
We are sincerely sorry that the Library of Note Air 5 C does not support sorting books by series. To manage books in series, we are afraid that you may need to manually create folders and move the books to the folders.
In this case, you can connect the device to your computer via a USB cable and manage your books from the computer.

After that, you can switch the Library mode to directory mode. Then, you can see your books organized in series.

In this case, we have forwarded your suggestion to the relevant department and will do our best to improve the software on our device in the future.

but even if i do directory management with folders for each file, they'd still be in alphabetical order, not any other order right?
so not only would i have to create the folders, i'd have to go through every single book in my library and rename every file with a 1, 2, 3... and so on at the front of the file name to put them in the right order?
that's going to take me so long to redo my entire library from scratch... honestly, while i love the note taking bits and functions of this device... it seems to have barely got the actual basics of an e-reader device right now :'(0 -
Dear customer,
Besides sorting the books in alphabetical order, you could also sort the books in modified time, size, and type.

and absolutely none of that at all would put them in any semblance of series order without me renaming every single book file I own and manually rebuilding my entire library...
i've installed a different library / reader software now from the play store that actually has good library management, including series and proper metadata properties, so i'm using that now and just using the boox hardware as a 'launchpad' really... it's just sad that such an expensive e-reader doesn't seem to have anything for library management beyond the extreme basics you'd find on an e-reader a 10th of the price :(0 -
