Help! I'm stuck in notes and can't save!

I have the Boox Note Air.  I created a note and then used AI to convert to text.  I fixed some of the items that were ran together (but with great difficulty as where i placed the cursor was not always where it needed to be to make a correction -it was very clunky and awkward).

I do not have the menu on the side since i converted it to text and swiping in from either side doesn't bring it up.  I don't see anything on the radial menu that will save. 

I tried swiping up from the bottom to "go back" and to "go home" but it won't save it.  when i come back most of the text is gone and i end up having to use the AI button again.  Right now, I can't get rid of the box around text. so anywhere i click, it creates the box where you can edit. I don't know what else to do.  Is this normal?  Is it really supposed to be this difficult? 

I will say that it looks like the boxes go off screen and when i try to swipe in (to try to get the menu to come up), it says "Canvas width has reached the maximum value" I don't know if somehow the menu is on that side or what.

How do i save this note??? I even tried exporting and it reverted all the work i had done to clean up the document (with spacing and all)
