Handwriting to text

Okay, so I bought my BOOX note air primarily because it appeared that I could hand-write my notes, articles etc and then convert to text. So far, I am REALLY disappointed. I have very legible, straight handwriting but every time I convert it, it completely moves words and phrases, leaves large chunks out and is just generally useless. Am I doing something wrong or did I just waste $500???? (And yes I still write in cursive, like a significant portion of the world).
